Book review

Review author: Dr. M.J. Meredith

This is a much needed and unique compilation of detailed pig quantitative data.
The book is aimed primarily at pig scientists and the areas covered are behaviour, genetics, growth, metabolism and physiology. The presented data can be incorporated into nutrition, performance and productivity models. It is a multi-author textbook, drawing on leading experts from Europe, USA and Australasia.

Preceding the quantitative data and putting it into context, are descriptions of the porcine species, pig feeding and the environment in which swine are kept.
