The course and prognosis differ case by case: 1) unaware of the infection
and cure naturally, 2) with symptoms and go through typical clinical
course, 3) with severe and critical symptoms accompanied by coma but
cure finally,
4) end up with fatal outcome. In acute cases, blood biochemical change
will recover within 6 weeks.
Hepatitis B, C, and D may progress further to chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, and hepatocellular carcinoma. |
